Director of Sales
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking to appoint a visionary Director of Sales. This pivotal role will focus on expanding presence across new and existing markets, optimising commercial channels, and driving total estate revenue, profitability, and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the hotel’s commercial strategy and annual sales plan
- Maximise revenue through strategic yield management and distribution channel oversight.
- Design innovative guest experiences that optimise use of the estate’s facilities year-round.
- Build and expand profitable relationships in local and international markets, targeting luxury leisure, high-end groups, weddings, meetings, and incentive travel.
- Develop strategic partnerships that align with the brand and enhance guest reach.
- Champion the guest journey and lead continuous improvement in service excellence.
- Drive growth in established and emerging markets to ensure the brand’s continued success
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KEY SKILLS:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within luxury hospitality or a related sector.

Proven expertise across all core commercial disciplines, with particular strength in revenue management and strategic sales.

Demonstrated success in delivering impactful B2B and B2C commercial strategies.

Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of financial performance and key profitability drivers.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the brand with professionalism and confidence.

Collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing teams.

Skilled in identifying opportunities for profit optimisation across departments.

Able to embed a commercial mindset throughout the property and act as a key mentor within the team.

Must hold a full driving license and valid passport to support business travel requirements
Location:
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
- This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days onsite.
- During the first three months, a five-day onsite workweek will be required to allow the candidate to familiarise themselves with the property, systems, team, and other relevant aspects.
Please be aware: This role will involve business travel, local, national and internationally to represent the property.
