Financial Controller

Daly Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a new hotel client as they prepare to open a new property in the Belfast. We are now seeking an ambitious Hotel Financial Controller to join their pre-opening leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial function from day one, contribute to strategic decision-making, and be part of a vibrant, supportive environment. Our client offers excellent backing and will happily consider a strong Assistant Financial Controller ready to step up into their first FC role.

About the Role

As the Hotel Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial operations of the property, ensuring robust reporting, strong commercial insight, and effective financial controls. You’ll collaborate closely with the General Manager and the wider leadership team, playing a vital role in budgeting, forecasting, and commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all day-to-day finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting

• Implement and maintain strong financial controls in line with brand and legislative requirements

• Provide commercial analysis to support decision-making and drive profitability

• Work closely with department heads to manage costs and maximise revenue

• Support with the financial elements of the pre-opening phase, including systems setup and process creation

What our client is seeking:

• Experience in hotel or hospitality finance (FC or Assistant FC level)

• Strong understanding of hospitality accounting systems and processes

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

• Motivated, detail-focused, and confident in taking ownership

• Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
