Food Services Manager

Daly Recruitment has teamed up with one of Belfast’s premier luxury properties to hire a Food Service Manager. This role is perfect for an experienced Assistant or Supervisor looking to advance their career in hospitality. As Food Services Manager, you will oversee food and beverage operations to ensure high-quality service and standards are consistently maintained, providing guests with a memorable experience. You will also ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations related to health, safety, and other requirements.
This role will involve supervising a sizable team of staff and supervisors, working under the guidance of the Food & Beverage Manager.
This role will require the candidate to:
- Oversee the hotel’s food and beverage marketing programs and contribute to system-wide promotions and initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.
- Ensure food and beverages are stored securely and safely, maintaining adequate stock levels to minimise waste.
- Work alongside Food and Beverage Manager to manage food and beverage inventory, establishing minimum and maximum stock levels for all items, materials, and equipment.
- Oversee daily operations, plan and delegate tasks, ensuring optimal staffing levels are maintained at all times.
- Foster team development by providing coaching and constructive feedback, and set performance and growth goals for team members.
- Train staff to ensure they adhere to compliance standards and consistently meet expectations.
- Recommend or take necessary HR actions when appropriate.
- Ensure all food and beverage equipment is in good working condition and is regularly cleaned.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of all food and beverage facilities, including banquet and convention spaces, in line with expected business volume.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the maintenance team immediately.
- Set and achieve quality and guest satisfaction objectives, ensuring a seamless experience for all guests.
- Assist in preparing the hotel’s annual budget and setting departmental goals.
- Monitor the budget and manage expenses, with a focus on controlling food, beverage, and labour costs.
- Identify opportunities and work with suppliers to increase sales and boost revenue.
- Lead promotions that provide exceptional dining experiences for guests while ensuring good value.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed, stepping in during unexpected moments to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
