As the preferred recruitment partner for the esteemed Galgorm Collection, Daly Recruitment are looking for a Group IT Support Professional to enhance their IT support team, during a very exciting period of growth and expansion for the collection.

About the role:
This presents a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation, playing a pivotal role in ensuring seamless IT operations across their diverse portfolio, which includes Galgorm Resort, The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat (Templepatrick), The Old Inn (Crawfordsburn), Fratelli Belfast, Parisien Belfast, and the latest addition to the collection – Roe Park.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Group IT Support Professional to monitor, maintain, and enhance the computer systems and networks for the Galgorm Collection. This role will involve providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT infrastructure across the business.
Hours of work: 5 days out of 7 per week
The main responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Assisting staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve IT issues.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Replacing parts as required.
- Supporting the roll-out of new hardware and software projects.
- Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
- Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time.
- Establishing a good working relationship with the Galgorm Collection staff and 3rd party vendors.
- Testing and evaluating new technology.
- Assisting with Information Technology (IT) project planning, including identifying and developing goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identifications of risks, contingency plans, allocation of available resources, and deliverables to meet business needs.
- Ensuring all areas of the hotel are supported with effective computer systems.
- Thoroughly understanding of hospitality-centric systems; from door locking to guest room entertainment etc.
- Assisting with evaluating user needs and system functionality and ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs.
- Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.
- Providing secure access to the network for remote users.
- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
- Providing high-resolution troubleshooting if needed.
- Working with 3rd Party Support to constantly improve day-to-day IT hotel requests and issues.
- Having a flexible working pattern as weekend cover may be required.
Candidates should be:
- Highly motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of an IT team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in organising and prioritising technical service requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Proven professional ability to quickly adapt to and master new technologies.
- Capable of managing relationships with third-party vendors efficiently.
- Flexibility and adaptability are key to success in this role.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience supporting Microsoft Server technologies both on-premises and cloud-based.
- Experience administering and managing Office 365 platform.
- Experience working with LAN and WAN at multi-site locations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Knowledge of all Windows platforms and general office automation and productivity software.
- As with all positions in our business, customer service proficiency is required. Must be highly capable of working with end-users and executives.
- Must hold fill clean drivers license and have access to mode of transport between properties.
Desirable Criteria:
- At least 1 year of experience in providing implementation, and support of information systems in the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of various hospitality-specific applications.
