Health Club Manager – Luxurious Hotel Spa

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Health Club Manager to join a prestigious luxury Hotel spa in the Belfast area to oversee the health centre aspects of the spa. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional to lead and elevate the wellness experience, ensuring exceptional service standards and operational excellence in a high-end, luxurious environment.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and delivery of exceptional health and wellness services within the health club area.
Role will report into: Spa and Fitness General Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the health club, ensuring all services are running efficiently and at the highest standards.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of fitness trainers and health club staff, ensuring they adhere to operational procedures and deliver exceptional service. Any personal training will have commission.
- Foster a positive, professional, and motivated environment, encouraging team members to consistently provide top-quality service.
- Ensure that all members and guests receive a personalised, premium service throughout their visit.
- Address guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Create and implement member engagement strategies to enhance overall satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and manage wellness and fitness programs that align with the spa’s luxury brand and appeal to guests and members.
- Monitor the success of health programs, adjusting offerings based on guest needs and market trends.
- Ensure all fitness and wellness equipment is maintained to the highest standards and properly serviced.
- Liaise with the General Manager to manage the health club’s budget, ensuring financial targets and operational costs are met.
- Monitor membership sales, renewals, and retention, working closely with the marketing team to promote the health club.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
- Work closely with the spa management team to integrate health club offerings with other wellness services, creating a seamless guest experience.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all equipment and products used in the health club are of the highest quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Health Club Manager, Fitness Manager, or in a similar role within the luxury hospitality or wellness industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Knowledge of fitness programs, wellness trends, and industry best practices.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A relevant fitness qualification (e.g., Personal Trainer certification, Wellness Coach certification) is a plus.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
