The Role

As Hotel Front Office Manager, you will lead our front office team, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for maintaining high service standards, optimising guest satisfaction, and overseeing all front desk operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily front office operations, including reception, concierge, and guest relations
  • Train, mentor, and manage a team of front office professionals
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and handle VIP arrivals, special requests, and escalations
  • Monitor room occupancy, rates, and reservations to maximise revenue
  • Maintain accurate financial records, billing processes, and budgets for the department
  • Implement and maintain luxury brand service standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
  • Ensure that service levels are maintained to the highest degree, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Hotsoft System to ensure correct procedures are always followed
  • Guarantee that all reception staff are trained and fully conversant with all aspects of Hotsoft PMS
  • Collate and deliver accurate reports on all aspects of reception as requested by senior management
  • Prepare weekly staff rosters and ensure front desk coverage at all times
  • Actively manage and develop the Reception team, including the day and night porterage department
  • Oversee all aspects of the check-in and check-out process, ensuring accuracy in bookings, length of stay, and packages
  • Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Ensure proper management of cash handling, guest charges, floats, and till procedures per company policies
  • Lead and assist in the smooth running of the front office desk during shifts
  • Perform duty management shifts as required.

What is our client looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Front Office Manager or similar role in a four-star hotel
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS, Hotsoft)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Fluency in English
  • A candidate who is eligible to work in the UK
