Daly Recruitment are delighted to exclusively partner with one of Northern Ireland’s most luxurious and prestigious 5-star properties to appoint a Director of Sales and Marketing to join their senior management team.

As Director of Sales and Marketing you will have a pivotal role in the hotel’s success by focusing on strategic sales and marketing efforts. This will involve promoting the hotel to a range of target audiences, including luxury travelers, golf enthusiasts, and high-end leisure clients. The successful candidate will need to have a deep understanding of the luxury market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to craft and implement strategies that drive occupancy and revenue growth across local, national, and international markets.

 


Job Purpose:

As Director of Sales and Marketing Director you will be a strategic leader, who will include develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, managing the sales team, building relationships with key clients, and identifying new business opportunities.
The role will require a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality sector to position the hotel as a top destination in its market.

  • To lead the sales team
  • To take charge of initiating contact with prospective clients and market agents.
  • Develop long term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • To develop a constant and robust pipeline of business.
  • Capturing detailed client briefs.
  • Engaging in supplier and client negotiations and securing business to achieve predetermined targets.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Sales and Marketing

  • Spearhead sales and marketing strategies
  • Competitor research to stay ahead of market trends
  • Secure new and repeat business across all luxury market segments.
  • Be the face of the hotel and restaurant for exclusive events.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with high-end operators and agents.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with local stakeholders.
  • Lead local marketing campaigns and oversee the online presence.
  • Craft and execute our ongoing PR campaign working closely with the Sales and Marketing team.
  • Foster community relationships and represent the hotel nationally and internationally.
  • Harness distribution systems and marketing tools for maximum impact.
  • Collaborate closely with the revenue team to grow and retain business

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven sales and marketing prowess, particularly in luxury hotels and new openings
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office
  • Expertise in digital marketing and social media management.
  • Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience of working within the luxury hotel sales market at senior level.
  • Candidates holding golf sales experience would be desired.
  • A go-getter with exceptional interpersonal skills and an unyielding drive for results

Additional information:

  • There will be the need for European and International travel to attend key sales driving events. 
  • Must hold full indate passport and full drivers license with most of transport.
  • Flexibility to attend overnight business travel in line with job requirements.
